Custom art pedals (Part 1)

In the spring of 2026 my daughter and I decided to start a new venture. She would draw custom art on pedals and I would build the circuits to create something that is unique. The results are stunning! These pedals are all one offs that were build in the spring of 2026. This is an ongoing project, feel free to contact me if you are interested in a custom art pedal like these!

The pedals are all tailor made. Details are discussed prior to building the pedal. The artwork normally starts with a concept or a few images but images are only used as a catalyst. The end product doesn't look like the images. Everything else is part of a consultation with the buyer: the circuit, the components, the knobs. The end result is a fully custom pedal that is never to be replicated.

Here are the three pedals we built in the spring of 2026 for reference:

Leah

The one that started it all.

Leah is a germanium fuzz, Fuzz Face circuit with internal bias control. Analogman Sunface mods - 1uF input cap + 100k volume knob.

The controls of the pedal are:

  • Volume (left knob): the output level
  • Fuzz (right knob): the amount of fuzz

Technical specifications:

  • NOS Tungsram AC128 transistors
  • Modern printed circuit board
  • Neutrik input/output jacks
  • Dailywell footswitch
  • Internal Bias (trimmer in the middle): bias control for the transistors to offset temperature changes.
  • Internal input level trimmer (trimmer on the left): to cut input level in case fuzz is too saturated.

Dahlia and Delaney

Due to the interest in Leah, we made another two pedals right away.

Dahlia is a germanium fuzz based on the Tone Bender MKII made by Vox and Sola Sound with added internal bias control.

The controls of the pedal are:

  • Level: the output level
  • Attack: the amount of fuzz

Technical specifications:

  • Two NOS Tungsram AC125 and one NOS Philips AC125 germanium transistors
  • Modern printed circuit board
  • Neutrik jacks
  • Dailywell foot switch
  • Internal Bias: bias control for the transistors. Fully clockwise is more gated sound. Turn counter clockwise to reduce gating

Delaney is a germanium treble booster with input cap mod (6,8nF instead of 4,7nF like in the discontinued Keeley Java pedal).

The control of the pedal is:

  • Boost: the amount of boost from low to full

Technical specifications:

  • NOS Tungsram OC1044 germanium transistor
  • Tagboard construction
  • Neutrik jacks
  • Dailywell footswitch
